Betsy Werner serves as Instructor of Fine Arts at St. John Lutheran School in Seward, Nebraska, and also assists with many aspects of music at St. John Lutheran Church. In addition to teaching general music classes for students in kindergarten through grade 7, Mrs. Werner directs the school band program for grades 5 through 8 and teaches art for grades 7 and 8.
Prior to coming to St. John, Betsy served at Emanuel Lutheran Church and School in Hamburg, Minnesota; Ashburn Lutheran School in Chicago; and Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Wausau, Wisconsing. She served multiple terms on the Commission on Worship of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and was part of the committees that produced Hymnal Supplement 1998 and Lutheran Service Book (2006). Mrs. Werner is currently enrolled in the Master of Education: Curriculum and Instruction program at Concordia University, Nebraska.
